Kids who eat healthy school meals have fewer absences and higher academic achievement. Making school meals healthy, delicious, and successful is both a challenge and an incredible opportunity. This workshop gives an overview of how national school meal programs work and how parents and community members can deepen support, trust, and meaningful collaboration with nutrition services to create healthier school food environments.
This 1½ to 3 hour training is for parent/family groups, school wellness champions, school health teams, and community members. Available in English and Spanish.
