Anxiety, Depression, and Our Students: Advocacy through Assessment, Interventions, and an Ecological Systems Lens
The Colorado Department of Education, the Colorado Society of School Psychologists, and the University of Denver have partnered to present this year’s annual Colorado Society of School Psychologists (CSSP) Summer Institute titled Anxiety, Depression, and Our Students: Advocacy through Assessment, Interventions, and an Ecological Systems Lens! This workshop, presented by nationally-certified school psychologist Barbara Gueldner, PhD, MSE, is for school psychologists and school mental health providers. The event will cover signs of internalizing problems such as anxiety and depression that often go undetected, yet impact our students, including those with disabilities, at a relatively high rate of occurrence.
This training will address current research and practices, and also review how Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) efforts and school-wide positive behavioral supports (SWPBIS) can work in a complimentary manner to support students.
